Made of iron, the halberd has a “flamed”, double-edged blade with central ridge on both sides. It is etched and gilded with the monogram of the Elector Johann Georg II of Saxony (1656-1680) in a wreath of leaves, on both sides. On the head there is a leaf with doubly curved edge finished with a flamed lumbar spine. Between blade and spine, on both sides stays the Saxon coat of arms with the electoral hat, gold-plated.
