European Ceremonial Pike

  • Dated: probably 17th century 

This is an old German or Swiss Spear or polearm. The thick steel blade is pierced through with designs, the facetted collar fitted onto a long facetted wooden pole covered with aged fabric and decorated with brass studs. The shaft top is decorated by a large braided tassel.
